Summary of Position:

The Senior Analyst – Financial Planning & Investment Analysis will be a contributor to the Group’s consolidated financial forecast model, and will hence be responsible for the efficient preparation and analysis of the Group’s long-term financial forecasts at the portfolio level, as well as for providing investment & strategic analysis to Senior Management and Board of Directors.

Financial Planning

  • Assist the Corporate Finance department in the preparation of presentations and models for the different stakeholders (management, shareholders, lenders, rating agencies)
  • Undertake and manage the preparation of the Group’s long-term financial forecasts at the portfolio level
  • Maintain, engineer, refine and upgrade the terminals long-term financial forecast template and the consolidated financial forecast model
  • Prepare reporting packs, presentations, papers and analyses and present them to Senior Management and Board of Directors
  • Assess the impact of investment opportunities and financial strategies (terminal acquisition, increase in shareholding, major terminal extension, dividend distribution, etc.) on the consolidated financials (margins, leverage, covenants, etc.)
  • Coordinate and assist with ad hoc requests from management, shareholders and third parties

Investment & Strategic Analysis

  • Prepare supply&demand and other market analyses on a global and/or regional basis
  • Actively perform detailed, rationalized strategic analyses, investment recommendations and other ad-hoc analysis at Group level based on supply&demand analyses and market insights, in line with shareholders’ objectives and needs
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative market analyses (M&A activity, peers’ financial and operational performance, market drivers, economic environment, regulation, etc.)

Required Knowledge

  • MSc in Finance or Business
  • Expert in financial modelling and analysis with Excel / Business and investment valuation techniques

Required Experience

  • 4-5 year experience in corporate finance / banking / financial institutions / investment / modeling or related analysis experience
  • Proven experience in detailed financial modelling

Required Competencies

  • Expert Excel modelling skills with strong understanding of financial return assessment techniques
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Very detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English with strong expertise in concise and effective written and presentation preparation skills
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • Efficiently collaborate with and coordinate as required the 10 other Business Development team members
  • Project management skills
