Role Importance

Due to the interface function between management and production, this position is fundamentally important for the long-term success of Lonza. You will participate in regular exchange meetings with other team leaders to optimize efficiency. Responsibilities include training and coaching employees, conducting performance reviews, and supporting their development. You will be part of the management team in the respective area (USP / DSP), leveraging your experience to help set up the team and system.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leading, assessing, coaching, and developing employees by creating and implementing training plans.
  2. Setting priorities and allocating resources to meet deadlines.
  3. Recognizing and correcting deviations, participating in investigations and improvement projects.
  4. Ensuring security, GMP compliance, among others.
  5. Comparing cross-company process steps (relationships, dependencies, processes).
  6. Managing shift handovers, inspections, and creating, maintaining, and updating instruction manuals.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Several years of professional experience as a shift team leader, deputy, or system specialist in organic production.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of production processes and interrelationships in a large production area, with detailed knowledge of all process steps and systems.
  3. Experience in installing and handling manufacturing plants, as well as in resource and work process coordination.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of process engineering.
  5. Fluency in English (written and oral); German is an advantage.
