Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS‑addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity

As part of our expanding European organization we seek a visionary and hands‑on Executive Director Commercial Excellence, Analytics & Insights Europe who will play a critical role in architecting the commercial infrastructure for our data‑driven European launch, ensuring operational excellence and strategic execution across the region. This individual will report to the Vice President Commercial and Market Development Europe and will be the bridge between Strategy, Data, Technology and Execution. The role will closely partner with the Global organization and individual country teams, defining forecast and measuring success across all channels (Digital & Field) and driving decision‑making through data.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial Excellence
    • Partner with the VP of Commercial Europe to orchestrate the launch roadmap, ensuring all operational capabilities align with the broader launch goals and embedding a standard of excellence.
    • Lead the cadence and operation of regional launch governance with cross‑functional teams.
    • Design and maintain robust performance metrics and dashboards for the EU, providing transparency and enabling data‑driven decisions, preparing presentations for leadership meetings and discussions; collaborate and align approach with other regions and global teams.
    • Monitor and follow up on strategic commercial excellence priorities, ensuring alignment across the region and globally.
    • Optimize strategic planning cycles in collaboration with Finance and cross‑functional teams at country, regional and global level.
    • Identify training gaps and provide curriculum, tools and materials for training commercial teams across the region beyond traditional onboarding training such as competitive selling, scientific fluency, HCP engagement, objection handling and omnichannel marketing excellence in collaboration with marketing, medical and HR.
    • Design and build the CRM system for field operations across the region in collaboration with regional and global IT teams.
    • Define and implement a comprehensive data and digital strategy and tools aligned with overall regional goals to optimize launch.
    • Leverage digital platforms, AI‑enabled tools and CRM systems to manage field operations effectively in collaboration with country, regional, cross‑regional and global teams.
    • Foster a culture of digital fluency across commercial teams, optimally implementing content generated by marketing teams.
  • Analytics & Insights
    • Lead the European forecasting process with diligence, accuracy and strategic insights; collaborate with the Global Forecasting lead to ensure consistency in approach and align on key forecast drivers.
    • In partnership with the Global Forecasting lead train country commercial teams on robust forecasting methodologies.
    • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Revolution Medicines pipeline, competitive positioning and the broader market dynamics shaping the oncology industry.
    • Collaborate with key European stakeholders to identify intelligence needs and generate insights.
    • Orchestrate market research to uncover deep insights into the oncology landscape, patient journeys and competitor activities in collaboration with Global Insights, Analytics and Competitive Intelligence.
    • In partnership with the Global Analytics & Insights function identify, facilitate and execute Europe‑specific activities and data purchases that enhance organizational knowledge regarding relevant market and potential product attributes, usage, market dynamics and competition.
    • Incorporate data from field observations, leadership and performance metrics to generate insights and make recommendations accordingly.
    • Develop and present actionable recommendations to key stakeholders, focusing on key findings and relevant implications to each stakeholder group and senior leadership.
    • In partnership with Global Insights reinforce market research best practices, identify market research and data sources, vendor options and methodologies best suited to address European business needs; manage third parties associated with this function.
    • Oversee the establishment of robust data governance frameworks, policies and quality standards to ensure data integrity and compliance based on GDPR and other regulations.

Required Skills, Experience and Education

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as biotechnology, life sciences or business administration.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in market development, marketing, commercial excellence, product planning (including market research and forecasting) or commercial strategy with a focus on oncology or related indications (e.g. hemato‑oncology).
  • Experience successfully launching and commercializing products in European markets, with a preference for extensive experience in major markets.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex markets, disease states, competitive landscapes and relevant market dynamics.
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate similarities, differences and considerations necessary to inform key internal stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills and significant project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, global teams and cross‑region teams.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced innovative clinical‑stage biotech organizations.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
