PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position is part of the Global IT Infrastructure organization and reports directly to the Vice President, Global IT Infrastructure, with a dotted-line relationship to the Vice President, Ship Development and Construction.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading IT infrastructure and Audio-Visual (AV) technology programs across Newbuild and Drydock projects, ensuring strategic alignment between Ship operations, Ship Development and Construction and IT Operations. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering complex, large-scale IT solutions across the fleet — ensuring seamless integration during ship construction, delivery, and drydock periods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for IT infrastructure programs across Newbuild and Drydock projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and technology strategy.
  • Establish and manage program governance, including risk management and compliance.
  • Coordinate and manage multi-project dependencies, ensuring timely and synchronized delivery of IT systems during construction and drydock activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute program-level roadmaps and project plans, ensuring all deliverables meet schedule, scope, and budget objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budget control for Newbuild and Drydock IT initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT infrastructure performance, resilience, and standardization across the fleet..
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of systems and hardware during Newbuild, drydock, and retrofit projects.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on program progress, key risks, and financial performance
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT programs, including system architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and maritime regulatory requirements.
  • Support additional strategic IT initiatives as assigned.

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in IT project or program management, with a proven record delivering complex IT and AV infrastructure initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of core IT infrastructure domains — including servers, storage, networking, cloud, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage cross-functional, multinational teams.
  • Maritime, shipbuilding, or large-scale industrial project experience is highly desirable.
  • Advanced certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or similar are strongly preferred.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively, including onboard ship assignments as required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively across diverse technical and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
