Our client is a leading flexible packaging producer based in Zug.

On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director - Packaging to lead their expansion. This is a senior-level role that requires a strong leader with a hands-on approach, capable of managing remote sales teams, setting strategic direction, and driving growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and lead the sales team (10+ FTEs), ensuring performance targets are met and exceeded.
2. Develop and implement a sales strategy to expand market presence and increase revenue.
3. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing remote sales team across multiple countries.
4. Identify new business opportunities, build relationships, and negotiate high-value deals.
5. Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to drive long-term growth.
6. Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to senior management.
7. Willingness to travel frequently to engage with clients, teams, and key stakeholders.

Key Requirements

1. 10+ years of experience in sales in the packaging industry, with a focus on flexible packaging, consumer packaging, and food packaging.
2. Strong ability to set and execute sales strategies, drive revenue, and scale operations.
3. Demonstrated success in managing remote sales teams across multiple regions.
4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
5. A results-driven mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
6. Willingness to travel extensively as required.
7. Fluent in English, German is an advantage.
8. CH/EU national or an existing working permit for Switzerland.
