About This Role

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack (Python) Engineer to join our team. This position will involve enhancing our existing prototype application and working towards scaling it up. The current application is developed using Django and React Native, so maintaining these technologies will be crucial. This role requires working closely with the CTO and other stakeholders, making it ideal for an independent worker with a strong sense of initiative.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and scale our existing prototype application built on Django and React Native.
• Collaborate with the CTO and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure high-quality code and application stability.
• Understand infrastructure and data workflows to contribute effectively to project development.
• Analyze and interpret telemetry data to inform app enhancements and scaling.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases in alignment with application needs.
• Oversee cloud services, primarily utilizing Digital Ocean Cloud, with potential plans to transition to AWS.

Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python and Django (or other similar frameworks) is essential. Experience with PostgreSQL and working knowledge of React Native and React.
• Infrastructure Experience: Familiarity with current cloud technologies, CI/CD & containerisation.
• Data Understanding: Proficiency in data workflows and telemetry data analysis is an advantage.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with the CTO and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Long-term Commitment: A passion for the e-mobility industry and enthusiasm for playing a key role in shaping innovative solutions for the bodaboda community.
