Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Summary

Galderma is looking for an experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) who will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with Galderma’s Bold Ambitions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business strategy and workforce needs into comprehensive Strategic Workforce Plans, HR Roadmap including acquisition, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead enterprise-wide HR strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Guide the executive team and board on HR matters including culture, retention, and restructuring.
  • Manage labour law compliance and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
  • Direct learning, development, and leadership programs across the organization.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
  • Evaluate HR technology and implement process improvements.
  • Present to the board and the relevant board committees particularly on executive compensation and succession.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in HR, business administration, or organizational psychology is preferred.
  • Strong Track Record as CHRO, ideally gained with a medium-size high growth life sciences, consumer healthcare or CPG organization.
  • Ability to be strategic but also a hands‑on operator.
  • Beyond HR experience, experience working with a business function would be considered as a strong plus.
  • Deep knowledge of total rewards practice, employment law, compensation structures, and HRIS platforms.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, Total Rewards, and organizational design.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Certifications such as SPHR, SHRM‑SCP, or other senior-level HR certification are considered as an asset.

The position is based in Zug / Switzerland , or Boston or Miami/US.
