Your responsibility

As a (Senior) Underwriter you will be part of a global treaty reinsurance team. Your job is to market, underwrite, maintain and develop an existing, profitable portfolio of Nat Cat treaties.
Together with the reinsurance team, you serve clients and brokers personally to meet their needs in a timely manner and create added value for all parties involved.
Being a member of our underwriting team, you ensure that your activities (underwriting and pricing) align with the Underwriting Rules and Guidelines, Working Directives, and Underwriting Authority.
To achieve your marketing goals, you establish specific marketing and sales plans, gather market data for the assigned region, and identify new opportunities.
University degree (BSc or MSc) in a quantitative discipline such as Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a similar area.
Underwriting experience within the treaty reinsurance industry, ability to underwrite reinsurance treaties, and understanding of contract wordings, pricing, and rating methodology.
Profound understanding of Nat Cat models (e.g., Verisk or RMS) and knowledge of Property Cat reinsurance markets.
Proven track record of managing international client and broker relationships, effective strategic relationship management, and portfolio management skills.
Pragmatic, goal-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
Fluent in both English and German; knowledge of other languages is beneficial.
