About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Tech Lead, Cloud Engineering, you will be responsible for IATA’s Cloud Infrastructure, IT Operations, and management of providers running AWS workloads on behalf of IATA. You will join a team of highly skilled engineers within IATA’s Information & Data (I&D) division. You will ensure adherence to IATA’s Unified Infrastructure standards and suggest improvements to the DevSecOps lifecycle of the organization.
What your day would be like
- Run day-to-day operations of IATA’s AWS and On-Premises infrastructures.
- Monitor and optimize AWS performance and costs.
- Address cloud engineering issues and tickets using the IATA ITSM tool.
- Troubleshoot OS and application problems.
- Participate in projects and RFPs related to cloud infrastructure, hosting, or IT operations.
- Plan, implement, and grow the infrastructure on AWS.
- Enhance and deliver well-architected solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based on business and technical needs.
- Manage relationships with Application Support Teams and external vendors, including onboarding and daily operations.
- Manage full application stacks from OS to custom applications using Amazon cloud environments.
- Maintain IATA’s existing Active Directory infrastructure, including Azure EntraID.
- Maintain DNS infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain automation tools such as Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, UiPath, and others.
- Manage CI/CD methodologies for server-based technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design scalable software services.
- Follow established best practices and procedures as part of IATA’s Unified Infrastructure.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, IS, or equivalent, or IT experience substituting for a degree.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS, etc. AWS Certification is a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with GCP services like storage, Cloud APIs, VPC, etc., with certifications being an advantage.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Terraform, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Helm, etc.
- Proficiency in Linux OS and scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar.
- Ability to train others on technical and procedural topics.
- A team player capable of demonstrating flexibility and motivation in a dynamic international environment.
