Your Mission:

  • You lead and develop Planted’s mission-driven Quality team, covering all aspects of food quality and regulatory compliance
  • You ensure consistent product quality and safety at our sites in Kemptthal and Memmingen, as well as at suppliers and co-manufacturers, in line with Planted standards, IFS, and legal requirements
  • You strengthen the quality culture across the organization
  • You expand and optimize the quality management system to meet the needs of our growing product portfolio, technologies, markets, and customer base
  • You ensure that all quality standards, control systems, and certifications support current and future market and customer requirements
  • You implement scalable processes and ways of working within the Quality team and across functions like Operations, R&D, Commercial, customers, and suppliers
  • You take ownership of quality across all production sites, including managing customer, authority, and certification audits, as well as audits at external partners
  • You lead the organization through quality issues or crises, including heading the crisis team
  • You actively participate in or oversee key Quality working groups such as HACCP, Food Defense, and Food Fraud

You:

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in food sciences or a related field
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in quality roles within food production, including proven leadership experience
  • Possess in-depth expertise in quality assurance, management, and control—covering crisis management and communication
  • Are a team player, responsibility taker & flexible with a “hands-on” approach
  • Decide quickly and effectively using a risk-based approach, communicating clearly even under pressure
  • Think entrepreneurially and are eager to help shape and scale an ambitious company
  • Are willing to travel regularly between Kemptthal and Memmingen
  • Communicate fluently in both German and English
  • Bring experience with quality in animal or plant-based meat products—an advantage
