Railway software engineer

Project: For Our Client, based in Thurgau, we are looking for a Railway Software Engineer.

Requirements:

1. Development and implementation of software solutions in the field of railway signalling applications.
2. Support in the planning, execution and documentation of software tests in various environments (simulation, laboratory, vehicle).
3. Collaboration with other engineers and teams to understand and implement technical requirements.
4. Troubleshooting and optimisation of existing software solutions.

Must Haves:

1. Completed Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, computer science or a similar specialisation.
2. Interest in railway technology and signalling technology.
3. Basic knowledge of software programming, ideally function block diagram (FBD) and structured text (ST) for programmable logic controllers (PLC). Python, C/C++ are also desirable.
4. Familiarity with software versioning tools such as SVN and Git.
5. Ability to work in a team, initiative and good communication skills.
6. Good knowledge of German and English.
7. Willingness to travel up to 10%.
