The Sourcing Leader is assigned a portfolio of direct suppliers and has the responsibility to develop, communicate and execute sourcing strategies, both short and long term.

This position reports to the senior sourcing manager and is part of the direct sourcing team located in Signy, Switzerland and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

1. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues.
2. Solves complex problems and is able to work autonomously receiving minimal guidance.
3. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
4. In close collaboration with internal stakeholders, i.e. Manufacturing, R&D and Product Management, participates in New Product Introduction projects as well as activities related to quality and fulfilment.
5. Implements efficient sourcing and category management strategies, analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggesting methods to decrease expenditure or to mitigate inflation.

Who you are:

1. A minimum of 7 years working in Sourcing or Supply Chain.
2. Strong work experience with technical depth/knowledge in assigned commodities, or strong Commercial strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or Engineering experience.
3. Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships.
4. Experience working in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry with a relevant background in Life Sciences or related industries.
5. Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

1. Ability to travel up to 10% overnight.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
