PLC Field Engineer – Superyachts & High-End AV (f/m/d)

C SEED Entertainment Systems is an award-winning designer and producer of cutting‑edge luxury electronics. Our core products include the C SEED N1 MicroLED 4K unfolding indoor TV, the C SEED 201 – the world’s largest unfolding outdoor MicroLED TV – and the C SEED Supermarine MicroLED TV. The company is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, with a branch office in Dubai, UAE, and a showroom in Beverly Hills, California.

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on PLC Field Engineer to lead system installations and service operations at international client sites—primarily onboard superyachts and in high‑end residential/commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and service of C SEED systems
• Troubleshoot, configure and optimize Siemens PLCs (e.g., S7-1200/1500, TIA Portal)
• Interface with clients, shipyards, and internal project teams
• Lead small technical teams during field deployments and coordinate subcontractors where required
• Produce clear technical documentation: as‑built, service reports, change logs, and risk/issue registers
• Train local technicians and partners; provide remote support as needed
• Support manufacturing/assembly at our Vienna facility during non‑mission weeks

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands‑on experience with Siemens PLC systems in field applications
• 5+ years’ practical experience with Siemens TIA Portal
• Prior experience onboard superyachts or offshore/high‑end AV environments strongly preferred
• Solid background in AV mechatronics, electrical systems, and automation technologies
• Fluent English (spoken/written)
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally 80 – 100 %
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and concise reporting skills
• Proven leadership in the field; calm, mature decision‑making under demanding conditions
• Clean seagoing/shipyard safety record and valid passport; ability to obtain required visas/security clearances

We offer a gross annual salary of €50,000–€80,000 for this full‑time role, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
