Myli – My Community Library Ltd (Myli) is a not-for-profit charity delivering inclusive, innovative library services in Victoria. Our Board

Myli’s Board comprises four Council Member Appointed Directors and three Independent Non-Executive Directors. We are currently seeking two Non-Executive Directors to join us on our exciting journey of growth, with appointments commencing at our AGM on 14 November 2025.

The Role

As a Non-Executive Director, you’ll provide strategic oversight, champion innovation and ensure strong governance. We welcome applicants with aspirations for future leadership, including potential Chair opportunities.

We’re seeking individuals with experience in:

  • Financial management and sustainability
  • Innovation and service transformation
  • Building and managing strategic partnerships
  • Governance, with prior board experience highly regarded.

You’re a strategic thinker with a curious and adaptable mindset, driven by a commitment to community impact. You bring creativity, governance expertise and a future-focused approach to leadership that embraces innovation and delivers meaningful outcomes. Your ability to engage stakeholders and leverage networks aligns strongly with Myli’s mission to help people connect, belong and learn.

Requirements

  • Attend at least 75% of board meetings annually (8 per year split of online and in person meetings)
  • Hold or obtain a Director ID
  • Be a Graduate of the AICD Company Directors course
  • Pass integrity checks (WWCC, Police Check)
  • Meet Myli’s Director Recruitment Policy.

Remuneration

An annual remuneration package of$8,272is offered for each Independent Non-Executive Director. Should an Independent Director be appointed as Board Chair, the remuneration increases to$13,878per annum.
