BSW Engineer - Autosar/Embedded Systems role at Jefferson Wells Italia.

For a prestigious Multinational Company operating in the Automotive field, we are searching for a BSW Engineer – Autosar/Embedded Systems.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Configure, debug, test and release Autosar BSW layer components such as Communications Stacks (CAN, CANFD, J1939, LIN, Ethernet), Memory Services, Diagnostic Services, Mode Management, NM Services, Crypto Services.
  • Configure real-time Operating System to satisfy specific application needs according to the defined Software Architecture, which includes usage of multiple OS-Applications and Multi-Cores.
  • Configure and implement specific Functional Measures in accordance with Software Architecture for safety-relevant applications, including SW partitioning in OS Applications, Memory Partitioning, Timing Monitoring, End-to-End Protection.
  • Configure on-chip microcontroller peripheral modules through the Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL).
  • Design SW Drivers for External ASICs, IoHwAb and Complex Device Drivers.

Education and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of C programming for embedded systems and related software tool chain.
  • Knowledge of classic AUTOSAR architecture with particular focus on BSW layer. Experience with AUTOSAR BSW authoring and configuration tools such as ETAS ISOLAR A/B (preferred), Vector DaVinci Configurator.
  • Knowledge of tools for ECU network development and testing with preference for Vector CANoe.
  • Knowledge of tools for ECU diagnostic specification management with preference for Vector CANape.
  • Knowledge of real-time Operating System for safety-critical embedded control systems.
  • Experience with CAN, CANFD, LIN, J1939, Ethernet, UDS and XCP protocols over CAN.
  • Experience in reading and using hardware schematics, specifications, and datasheets.
  • Good knowledge of microcontrollers architecture with direct experience with Infineon TC3xx microcontroller family on safety-relevant applications.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller power-up sequence and boot process coordination and management.
  • Knowledge of standard debugging tools with preference for Lauterbach Trace32.
  • Knowledge of modern Software development tool chain (e.g. Atlassian).
  • Collaboration and teamwork, effective communication, customer focus / Drive for Results, practice self-development, fluent English.
