Mechanical Products Engineer

Nidec Conversion is hiring a Mechanical Products Engineer for Montebello Vicentino Site.

Summary of Role

To design mechanical structures, cabinets, parts and related accessories for electrical cabinets. To perform FEM analysis of mechanical and structural parts.

Responsibilities, Duties and Tasks

• The candidate has to design and develop mechanical structures and solutions for electrical low voltage cabinet, in particular for Energy applications (power conversion cabinet).
• He/She has to develop and verify mechanical prototype by using structural and thermal calculations/software.
• He/She has to standardize parts, products and industrialize solutions.

Skills Requirement

• Degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical expert.
• A good knowledge of the English language is required, including written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of mechanical 3D/2D integrated design by using 3D software (Inventor is mandatory. Capacity to use Solid Works is a plus).
• Write and read technical specifications and functional descriptions.
• Good knowledge of norms and standards for mechanical drawing.
• At least 3 years of experience in the mechanical design of electric cabinets is necessary.
• Flexibility, problem solving capacity and creativity are necessary.
