Description

One of the many reasons Amazon stands out in providing an excellent customer experience is that the HR team ensures they have the best talent available. For us, people are at the center of everything, and ensuring they are in the right place and have all the skills to perform their role at their best is fundamental to their growth. As an HR Assistant, your goal will be to motivate staff and maintain high engagement levels through a consistently satisfying work experience. You will work within a team where you can share your ideas and learn from your colleagues to grow in your professional journey.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work closely with HR leaders and management on personnel-focused projects to create an engaging work environment.
  • Manage daily HR administration, such as new hire procedures, self-service tools, and attendance reviews.
  • Use internal dashboards to generate reports for your site's management.
  • Plan initiatives aimed at promoting staff wellbeing and experience on-site.
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance with business processes, data protection, local labor law application, and HR procedures.

A day in the life

This is not an office role: you will work in the field, closely with logistics center teams. Depending on the location, you might work on rotating shifts with your HR Assistant colleagues. This ensures there is always an HR representative available to staff to manage their requests and answer any questions. The HR Assistant role involves various activities. Besides helping us oversee key personnel management processes, you will support your team leaders in various projects aimed at engaging employees. This includes gathering employee feedback, organizing activities to involve them in new projects, or contributing to creating an inclusive work environment where every employee feels they can ask questions about HR topics.
