Data & AI Specialist (12 Month Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Work internally with PS/SE Teams to define and frame use cases for different industries.
  • Work directly with customers to implement AI solutions and use cases at scale using the Cloudera Data Platform.
  • Analyse complex distributed production deployments and make recommendations to optimise performance.
  • Document and present complex AI solutions to functional and technical teams.
  • Work closely with Cloudera teams at all levels to ensure the success of project consulting engagements with customers and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Develop and frame compelling use cases and demos for AI in different industries.
  • Write and produce technical documentation, blogs and knowledge‑base articles.
  • Participate in the pre‑and post‑sales process, helping sales and product teams interpret customers’ requirements.
  • Ask the right questions, think analytically, and develop creative solutions for complex data challenges.
  • Clearly explain technical insights to diverse audiences, including non‑technical stakeholders, and build narrative‑driven reports and presentations.
  • Keep current with Cloudera ecosystem technologies.
  • Perform platform installation and upgrades for advanced secured cluster configurations.
  • Attend speaking engagements when needed and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
  • Data Science expertise and experience executing data‑driven solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI & Machine Learning solutions.
  • Proficient in Python, R, and SQL.
  • Expertise in building and evaluating algorithms, including deep neural networks (CNNs, RNNs), and understanding concepts like classification, regression, and reinforcement learning.
  • Ability to clean, organize, and prepare large datasets using tools such as Pandas and dplyr.
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark for processing and analysing massive datasets.
  • Skills in Tableau, Power BI, and Matplotlib to communicate complex findings through compelling visuals.
  • Understanding industry trends and business operations to align data insights with organisational objectives.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving methods, and stay current in the rapidly changing AI and data science fields.
  • Understanding of the moral and societal implications of data handling and AI deployment, including data privacy and security.
  • Knowledge of the data management ecosystem, including data warehousing, ETL, and data integration.
  • Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
