Reston Hospital Center, A Level II Trauma Center, is conveniently located in the heart of Reston's vibrant Town Center, our expanding, full-service, 187-bed acute care medical and surgical hospital serves residents in the growing Northern Virginia region that incorporates western Fairfax and eastern Loudoun counties. We are currently working to become a Level II Trauma Center. Reston Hospital Center enhances the health and quality of life across our region. Your tasks

16 beds, but expanding to 24 beds Average Daily Census is 14 Head Count: 50 Trauma Step Down: 11 beds Average Daily Census 10 Head Count 20 RESPONSBILITIES: * Provides effective and responsive leadership for Labor & Delivery services. * Demonstrates qualities of a role model, clearly focused on the goals and objectives of services and the facility. * Demonstrates excellent skills in all forms of communication, and works well with others in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation. * Demonstrates effective verbal and written skills, including the ability to write extensive proformas, proposals, and reports, the ability to deliver effective presentations and speeches, and the ability to share this knowledge with others. * Maintains organizational performance goals. * Proactively supports the delivery of quality of service and promotes this as a fundamental value of employment at the facility. * Develops strategic and budget planning for the service. * Demonstrates excellent resource management, including awareness of cost and reimbursement implications for the facility. Serves as role model for others in this area. * Adheres to established hospital and department guidelines and protocols. Supports the hospital mission, vision, and values, as well as those of HCA.

Education: College Degree, Masters preferred (MSN, MBA, or MHA) Licensure: Current state Registered Nurse license Experience: Minimum of 5 (prefer 10) years, with at least half of those years in leadership capacity
