Descripción del empleo

We’re looking for a Marketing Chief of Staff to lead our internal marketing team and take over the day-to-day running of the department. Up until now, the CEO has been directly managing the marketing team—but now it’s time to pass the torch. You’ll become the CEO’s right hand: turning strategic vision into structured execution, managing a talented in-house team, and creating a high-performing, collaborative environment. If you’re equal parts team leader, project manager, and operations wizard—keep reading.

Due to the high number of applicants, we will only consider applicants who include a video presentation in their application. More info below.

What is Plytix?

Plytix is the world's leading Product Information Management (PIM) platform for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs). Plytix PIM helps companies store and organize product information ranging from descriptions and images to prices, and other specifications, in one place. Essentially, it's a handy tool that makes managing and updating product data a whole lot easier.

About our culture

This is where you’d typically see a long paragraph of boring text that no one reads, peppered with corporate buzzwords that don’t mean anything. But, Plytix is no typical company, so we’ll spare you that. Instead, watch this video, and if you like what you see, keep scrolling.

What’s the opportunity?

This is a rare opportunity to step into an essential leadership role at a B2B SaaS company that values clarity, autonomy, and execution. As Marketing Chief of Staff, you’ll take over the operational leadership of the Marketing department from the CEO. Initially, you won’t be setting the strategy, but you’ll own the implementation of it and help shape it together with the CEO.

You’ll make sure the entire team is working in sync, that people are motivated and have clear priorities. You’ll also be responsible for reporting and making sure that the team is hitting our goals.

What will you be doing?

You’ll lead the internal marketing team and keep everything moving in the right direction. That means coordinating and running team operations, ensuring priorities align with overall strategy, and creating conditions for great work to happen. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Be the CEO’s right hand in marketing: take strategy and turn it into reality
  • Lead and manage the internal marketing team
  • Ensure everyone knows their tasks, why they matter, and how they contribute to goals
  • Monitor project timelines, workloads, and deliverables
  • Foster accountability, motivation, and team growth
  • Identify blockers and optimize workflows, tools, and priorities
  • Keep reporting and communicate progress clearly
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and resource planning as the team grows

After 1 month: You’ll be onboarded, understand Plytix’s PIM and team structure, and build strong relationships. You’ll start owning short-term planning.

After 3 months: You’ll be fully in charge of the department, improving workflows, analyzing KPIs, and ensuring smooth execution.

In 6 months: You’ll be the trusted leader for the Marketing team, contributing to growth and high performance.

Who you’ll be working with

  • The CEO, who sets the marketing strategy
  • The internal Marketing team and potential third-party stakeholders
  • Cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Sales, and Customer Success

We expect you to

  • Have 5+ years of experience in team leadership, marketing operations, or project management
  • Have B2B SaaS experience, ideally in a scale-up environment
  • Be an excellent team leader—clear, empathetic, organized
  • Be confident leading teams and motivating people
  • Have strong operational and analytical skills
  • Understand how to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps
  • Be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Have a natural sense of ownership and responsibility

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling a marketing team or managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Background in Agile workflows or similar methodologies
  • Experience with hiring and onboarding
  • Willingness to relocate to Málaga, Spain
