Marketing & Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee the sales performance of our Energy Storage System (ESS) product line. In this role, you will participate in sales strategy discussions, assign goals, and negotiate sales budgets and marketing plans. You will also direct and coach global sales teams to meet their targets and exceed customer expectations.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Managing global product pricing for Traction Batteries, ensuring topline growth and profitability
  • Assisting and supporting the sales team and customers throughout the sales process, while developing business by increasing knowledge of products and markets
  • Identifying customer needs and competitors’ offerings through market studies, ensuring effective marketing and communications that reflect the value proposition of products and services
  • Conducting product presentations and training sessions
  • Performing sales performance reviews, proposing recovery plans for potential order shortfalls, and producing sales reports to assist in production planning and analyze lost proposals

Qualifications for the role

  • Proven sales experience for a technically complex and high-value product, with a passion for closing deals OR
  • In-depth knowledge and market insights for all aspects of traction batteries, with a focus on key market segments such as Railway, e-Mobility, and Marine OR
  • In-depth technical knowledge around energy storage with strong focus on Li-Ion technologies with the strong commitment to acquire the required sales and marketing skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are beneficial
  • Proven ability to deliver effective market insights and pricing solutions globally
  • Experience in business development, account management, and cross-selling
  • Excellent communication skills, adept negotiation capabilities, a focus on customer needs, and a professional approach with strong influencing skills and a flair for mentoring and coaching
