Role

As Technical Editor, you will be responsible for creating precise and compliant operating instructions for our complex systems and equipment. You will ensure all technical content is accurate, understandable, and prepared according to current EU directives. You will contribute your expertise not only in documentation but also in the procurement and implementation of technical content. You will work independently on monitoring translation projects, support the safety team by creating safety-related documents, and assist in the development of our web-based PLM system. Your technical expertise and communication skills make you a vital part of the team, ensuring our customers always have access to the most relevant and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of operating instructions and technical documents compliant with current EU directives
  • Procurement and integration of relevant technical content for documentation
  • Independent handling and monitoring of translation projects to ensure documentation is available in multiple languages
  • Development and upkeep of safety-related documents and active participation in the safety team
  • Further development of the web-based PLM system for efficient documentation management
  • Close collaboration with various departments to ensure all technical information is correctly and fully documented
  • Illustration of technical content and image editing to enhance documentation clarity

Qualifications

  • Completed technical vocational training in automation and/or plant engineering, preferably with experience in technical editing of capital goods
  • Further qualification as a Technical Editor with solid knowledge of machinery directives
  • Strong expertise in technical documentation, especially illustration and image editing (Adobe InDesign)
  • Proficient with MS Office; experience with SAP, CAD NX/Teamcenter is advantageous
  • Independent, quality-conscious work approach with high technical understanding and attention to detail
  • Fluent in German and English, additional languages are a plus
  • High communication skills and initiative for effective teamwork and external collaboration
