Job Purpose / Objective
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations and transactions to meet operational, quality, and safety standards. This includes receiving, inspecting, storing, preserving, reporting, and issuing materials/assets. The role ensures efficient inventory management, continuous improvement of warehouse infrastructure, and the development of constructive working relationships to achieve high levels of end-user satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
Strategy and Performance Management
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Department’s short- to mid-term strategic plans, aligning with corporate goals.
- Develop annual business plans for assigned areas to support financial and strategic objectives.
- Monitor, control, and report key performance indicators, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Evaluate and prioritize initiatives to directly support organizational strategic objectives.
- Stay updated on industry developments and trends to maintain competitive advantage.
People Management
- Supervise assigned resources to ensure safe, efficient, and effective work in line with policies and annual plans.
- Recommend training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Manage performance through mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback.
Warehouse Transactions and Documentation
- Develop and execute warehouse operational strategies to control costs, optimize inventory, and generate savings.
- Review and approve warehouse transaction documents to ensure proper record-keeping.
- Collect and submit warehouse statistics (e.g., variance, stock value, metrics).
- Supervise warehouse activities and assign tasks to ensure balanced workloads.
- Coordinate inspections, preservation, issuing plans, and material movements with end-users.
- Approve timesheets, overtime, and invoices for services performed in the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, report incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Implement improved systems, processes, and stocking plans to reduce operational costs.
- Manage external storage and local services contracts.
- Coordinate gate passes, escorts, and movement of materials inside or outside facilities.
Inquiries and Communications
- Facilitate the movement of loan materials from affiliates.
- Liaise with contractors for SES and payment processes.
- Collaborate with End-users, Production Planning, Procurement, and Finance for operational coordination.
- Communicate with freight forwarders and security for urgent shipments and approvals.
Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve departmental systems, policies, processes, and practices.
- Support the development and enforcement of Section policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Ensure team compliance with all policies and procedures.
Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant QHSSE procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Promote proactive safety culture and role-model safe work practices to achieve zero incidents.
Reporting
- Prepare timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements.
- Report shortages, overages, and damages, ensuring accuracy and quality of records.
Qatarization
- Contribute to the development of Qatari employees (applicable for expatriate staff).
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
Experience
- Required: 5–7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 2 years at a specialist/professional level in materials warehouse operations.
- Preferred: Experience in the petrochemical industry.

Languages
- Required: English – proficient
- Preferred: Arabic – working knowledge
