Position: Telecom Technician

Job Overview:

Our client, a global IT solution and telecom services provider, is seeking a Telecom Technician to support ICT and telecom projects, including installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of security systems, audiovisual systems, and network hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review project documents related to ICT and Telecoms, including security and audiovisual systems.
2. Conduct site visits to verify installation compliance with operational requirements.
3. Support the development and updating of operating procedures for hardware, networks, and systems.
4. Perform routine and non-routine operations on data processing peripherals, communication, and networking equipment.
5. Monitor, log, and report system performance and issues.
6. Troubleshoot and provide technical support during maintenance, repair, upgrade, and installation activities.
7. Follow procedures for hardware and software installation and removal, ensuring correct operation.
8. Gather information for incident resolution and escalate issues appropriately.

Candidate Requirements:

• High Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of telecoms experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Knowledge of ICT core applications, tools, and standards.
• Experience in project management and support environments.
• Proficiency in English, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Technical expertise in ICT and telecommunications hardware and software.
• Understanding of risk, security, and continuity management principles.
