Job summary

Sidra Medicine in Doha is seeking a TheTechnologist I - Immunochemistry to contribute to validation of equipment and processes in the laboratory. This role requires maintaining high professional standards and strict adherence to SOPs.

You will prepare policies and procedures in line with CAP/ISO15189 and JCI, and train staff in specific techniques as appropriate to your expertise. The incumbent collaborates within a team to deliver high-quality services.

Responsibilities

• Assists in validation of equipment and processes in the laboratory.
• Prepares policies and procedures in accordance with CAP/ISO15189 and JCI.
• Trains staff in specific techniques as appropriate to the expertise and experience of the post-holder.
• Observes and maintains laboratory health, safety and risk procedures.
• Works to departmental SOPs and current professional standards and participates in CPD activities.

TheTechnologist I - Immunochemistryperformsa broad range of technical and analytical work with a high level of individual skill and judgment, under minimal supervision.Theincumbentis required to observe and maintain a high standard of laboratory health, safety and risk procedures; andworksto departmental Standard Operating Procedures, and current professional standards.The Technologist I - Immunochemistry isactively involved in the laboratories continuing professional development program, preparing and delivering presentations to a range of staff, attending internal and external lectures, and undertaking additional training courses as required. TheTechnologist I - Immunochemistryispart of a team of Biomedical Scientists/Technologists delivering high quality services in their specialty.
