Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive's Domasco Commercial Vehicle Division in Qatar is seeking a skilled Linde Material Handling Technician to perform mechanical and electrical repairs, diagnostics, servicing and maintenance on diesel and electric forklifts.

You will work in workshop and on client sites, read manuals, use diagnostic software, and ensure safety and first-time repair quality while meeting standard repair times.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience servicing and repairing Linde Material Handling Equipment.
• Strong knowledge of workshop manuals, diagnostic software and repair procedures.
• Experience working independently in field service and workshop environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance on Linde Equipment.
• Diagnose faults and propose repair solutions to ensure first‑time fixes.
• Use diagnostic software, manuals, bulletins and tools effectively.
• Read and interpret schematics, electrical circuits, hydraulic diagrams and service instructions.
• Perform work in workshop and on customer sites across Qatar as required.
• Prepare clear Field Service Reports and obtain customer acknowledgement.
• Maintain safety, workmanship and adherence to manufacturer standards.
• Coordinate with Service Manager and team to complete jobs within standard repair times.

Overview of the role

We are currently looking to recruit a Linde Material Handling Equipment Technician to join our Domasco Commercial Vehicle Division in Qatar. The role is responsible for carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance of Linde Material Handling Equipment, including diesel and electric forklifts, in line with dealer/distributor standards and within agreed timelines. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, customer satisfaction, and first-time repair quality.

What you will do

• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance on Linde Material Handling Equipment.
• Diagnose faults accurately and recommend effective repair solutions to ensure issues are resolved correctly the first time.
• Use Linde diagnostic software, special tools, workshop equipment, service manuals, technical bulletins, and service checklists effectively.
• Read and interpret workshop manuals, schematic drawings, electrical circuits, hydraulic diagrams, and service instructions.
• Perform service and repair activities in the workshop and at customer sites across Qatar when required.
• Prepare clear and accurate Field Service Reports after each job and obtain customer acknowledgement where applicable.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, housekeeping, and compliance with company procedures and manufacturer standards.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager, Supervisor, and team members to complete assigned jobs within standard repair times and support workshop productivity.

Required skills to be successful

• Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing Linde Material Handling Equipment, preferably including diesel and electric forklifts.
• Strong knowledge of workshop service manuals, diagnostic software, technical bulletins, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Experience working independently in field service and workshop environments.
