Job summary

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting an HR Manager to join Compass International School Doha, Qatar. Start date: January 2027, with flexibility for an earlier start.

You will lead all aspects of people management, partnering with the Principal and school leadership to deliver a high-quality HR service that supports strategic and operational priorities in a dynamic, diverse campus environment. The role requires extensive HR generalist experience in education, strong knowledge of Qatar Labour Law,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (CIPD qualification desirable)
• Minimum of 5-7 years' HR generalist or management experience, ideally in a school or service-led environment
• Strong understanding of Qatar Labour Law, employment legislation, and immigration processes
• Proven track record of managing high-volume recruitment and onboarding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Skilled in HR systems and data management; experience with SuccessFactors is an advantage
• Culturally aware, empathetic, and able to thrive in a diverse international setting

Responsibilities

• Leading full-cycle recruitment for all school roles, working closely with the Principal and school leadership team
• Acting as the first point of contact for employee relations, providing advice, coaching and mediation to managers and staff
• Overseeing day-to-day HR operations, including payroll inputs, contract renewals, attendance management and personnel file maintenance
• Ensuring full compliance with Qatar Labour Law, MOEHE requirements and Nord Anglia HR policies
• Managing employee visa renewals, residency processes and exit procedures
• Coordinating the school's annual appraisal and performance review process
• Supporting managers with goal setting, feedback and development planning
• Partnering with the Principal on workforce structure, compensation and people priorities
• Championing diversity, inclusion and wellbeing across the school community
