Job summary

Rosewood Doha seeks a Stewarding associate to support the stewarding supervisor in cleaning F&B equipment, returning items to the correct area and proper storage, with HACCP awareness.

You will liaise with the Stewarding team, communicate with Chefs and F&B staff, maintain cleanliness of washing areas and equipment, follow safety procedures, and uphold high standards daily in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or hotel operations preferred.
• Familiarity with HACCP concepts and safety practices preferred.
• Proactive in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Stewarding team to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate with Chefs and F&B staff to support service.
• Maintain cleanliness of washing areas and equipment and report faults.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines in daily tasks.

Your Role

To assist the stewarding supervisor in cleaning of F&B equipment, facilities, and utensils, as well as the return of cleaned items to the respective area and proper storage, or any other assignment given by the management if and when required. It is mandatory to be vigilant and aware of individual responsibilities of HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full liaison with other members of the Stewarding team.
• Strong communication with associates within the department.
• Key relationship with the Chefs and F&B Department associates.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with other departments in the Hotel, especially Culinary and Event Team.
• Ensures cleanliness of all washing up and cleaning machinery and that equipment is in proper working order. Reports faults to the supervisor.
• Learns the fire and safety precautions and in particular those concerning the machinery and equipment used in the dish washing and kitchen areas. Learns how to operate the kitchen firefighting equipment.
• Uses cleaning materials and chemicals in a proper and economical manner.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Ensures that through efficient work practices a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is achieved.
• Attends training sessions and / or departmental meetings if and when assigned.
• Ensure full liaison with other members of the Stewarding team.
• Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
• Always maintain positive guest relations.
• Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
