Job summary

A leading energy company in Qatar is seeking an experienced Fire-Fighter with at least 9 years in firefighting and supervisory roles. You will oversee the daily operations of multiple fire stations, command emergency scenes, and promote fire safety within the community. Ideal candidates will have a valid driving license for heavy vehicles and a diploma in fire management. This position requires strong decision-making skills and resilience in challenging situations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 9 years as a Fire-Fighter with supervisory experience in a fire-fighting environment.
  • Valid driving License, preferably for Heavy Vehicles.
  • Upper Intermediate English Language proficiency (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise fire station operations to ensure readiness for emergencies.

Job description
Overview

Direct and supervise the daily routines and activities of a multiple fire station watch covering the designated operational area, to ensure the operational readiness of the stations to respond to emergencies. Command the incident as the on-scene commander of all emergency responders from multiple services as directed by the QP Incident Command System. Communicate fire safety practices by engaging with the community to prevent emergencies occurring, intervene effectively to minimize the impact.

Experience
  • Minimum 9 years as a Fire-Fighter (5 in supervisory position) in a commercial or industrial Fire-Fighter environment, civil defense force, military fire service or three years as Sub Officer in QP.
  • Possess a valid driving License - preferably Heavy Vehicle.
  • Technical skills - must be able to use broad range of modern equipment for fire fighting and rescue.
  • The ability to rapidly absorb information on arrival at an incident in conditions which may be dangerous and confusing and accordingly dictate instructions to the on scene crews.
  • Understanding for the victims of fire and accident and able to cope with distressing circumstances.
Qualifications
  • HND or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Institution of Fire Engineers or equivalent diploma in fire fighting/watch management.
  • Upper Intermediate English Language (QP L5) both spoken and written.
