Job summary

A leading energy company in Qatar is seeking an individual to assist in the berthing and un-berthing of tankers. The role involves ensuring safety practices are followed during operations and requires a minimum of three years marine experience. Candidates should possess a recognized Riggers Certificate and marine qualifications. This position offers exposure to essential maritime operations.

Qualifications

• At least three years of marine experience.
• Training in seamanship, safety practices, report writing and English is necessary.
• Possession of a Riggers Certificate recognized by QatarEnergy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in berthing/un-berthing of tankers.
• Connect/disconnect product supply hoses.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices during operations.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

To assist in the berthing / un-berthing of tankers and in the connecting / disconnecting of product supply hoses to tankers using the Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) facilities.

Required to ensure that the Tankers crew’s follow QatarEnergy and Industry safety practices during mooring and hose lifting operations.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of three (3) years marine experience

Educational Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School supplemented by approximately 1 year training in seamanship, safety practices, report writing and language (English).
• Recognized Safety awareness and hazard identification training is advisable
• To hold a QatarEnergy recognized Riggers Certificate
• A Marine qualification with a minimum of Boatswain or equivalent
