Job summary

A leading energy company in Doha seeks a skilled engineer to provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation & Control Engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, including 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry. Responsibilities include overseeing engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, while ensuring quality and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant post graduate experience, with 6 years in Oil & Gas.
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in projects.
  • Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status preferred.

Job description
Overview

Provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation & Control Engineering for all assigned engineering projects. Achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with QatarEnergy procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE.

Experience
  • 10 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Conduct Instrumentation & Control Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to, engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
  • Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and effective project delivery.
  • Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
  • Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices.
  • Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to instrumentation engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
  • Good communications and presentation skills with fluency in English.
