Job summary

A global manpower provider in Qatar is seeking a Simulator Instructor to design and develop competency-based training courses and assess learners. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 6 years in the oil and gas industry, with at least 3 years in an instructive capacity. This role requires strong experience in procedure development and the ability to operate in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including 3 years as an instructor.
  • Experience in plant processes and understanding of DCS process control systems.
  • Experience in procedure development and plant Operations and Maintenance.

SIMULATOR INSTRUCTOR

We are working with our client based in Qatar to source a SIMULATOR INSTRUCTOR. This is a residential contract based in Qatar.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including 3 years as an instructor
  • Experience in plant processes, production equipment, and understanding of basic DCS process control systems
  • Experience in procedure development, analysis, and plant Operations and Maintenance

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop competency-based training courses, assessments, workplace learning materials, and tests; advise line departments on development and corrective action plans
  • Design, develop, teach advanced-level theory and practice, and assess using various learning methodologies
  • Operate within a multicultural, multinational, and multi-venture environment
  • Analyze knowledge and skills gaps in alignment with OJT (On Job Training) programs and design learning materials to meet individual needs in coordination with line supervision
  • Recommend learning solutions with course curriculum, respond to learner feedback, and make adjustments or enhancements accordingly
