Job summary

A leading energy company in Qatar seeks a supervisory role in refinery operations. The ideal candidate will manage refinery processes, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and lead a team in optimizing production. Candidates should possess a degree in Chemical Engineering, along with 5-10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas operations.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in a supervisory role in oil and gas, preferably Oil Refinery.
  • Proven track record in managing refinery operations, safety management, and process optimization.
  • Experience in staff training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational challenges in refinery processes and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of refinery processes.
  • Lead and motivate a team, manage shift schedules, and handle emergencies.

Job description
Primary Purpose Of The Job

Analyze operational challenges within the context of shift management, staff coordination, and business targets. Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization to ensure smooth operations and achieve strategic objectives. Specifically, oversee the safe and efficient operation of refinery processes particularly Condensate distillation unit, hydrotreaters & CCR Platformer. Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing production output.

Required Experience And Skills

Experience: At least 5 - 10 years of experience in a supervisory role within oil and gas related field preferably Oil Refinery. Experience in managing refinery operations, including process optimization, safety management, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage shift schedules, and handle operational challenges effectively. Experience in emergency response and handling hazardous materials.

Additional Skills/Training/Professional Certificates Required
  • Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English, including report writing.
  • Training: Experience with staff training and development.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Safety protocols & Environmental regulations, Process Safety Management, Knowledge of refinery process and equipment, and Leadership & Management.
Educational Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
