Job summary

Yokogawa Qatar seeks a Service Engineer for Cyber Security & Exa Systems to support the Technical Service Department with maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of Cyber Security Solutions & Exa Products at customer installations. The role also focuses on engineering, design & testing of service projects while complying with safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in instrumentation, electrical, or electronics, with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in Cyber

Service Engineer – Cyber Security & Exa Systems

To Support Technical Service Department with maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of Cyber Security Solutions & Yokogawa - Exa Products at Customer Installation Base. The role also focuses on detailed Engineering, design & testing of Service Projects (Exa as well as Cyber Security) while complying with all the safety standards

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities for Service Engineer (Cyber Security & Level-3 Systems)

• To provide technical assistance and maintain Yokogawa systems and products at customer sites (Cyber Security Solutions, Exa Quantum, Exa OPC & ARA).
• To provide the customer with installation and start up assistance.
• To perform administrative duties related to service calls.
• Troubleshoot problems on customer systems.
• Corrects problems and repairs as necessary.
• Carries out preventive maintenance work on assigned service contracts.
• Advises customer on site preparation and layout prior to installation.
• Performs system startup operations & Supervises system installation.
• Assists customers in the commissioning of processes.
• Modifies configuration and updates relevant documentation.
• Provides 24 hour service when on call.
• Repairs, configures, calibrates, stages and troubleshoots on systems in-house as required.
• Reports activities, times, materials and expenses in accordance with requirements.
• Perform any other related duties as required.
• Understand the customer requirement and propose the best suitable solution for the problem.
• Prepare the quotation for RFQ received from customer.
• Perform & monitor sales related activities.
• Provides Training Courses to End Users based on System Requirements.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or related field
• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in Cyber Security & Yokogawa systems support and maintenance
• Strong field experience with Cyber Security& Exa Systems is preferable
• Evidence of Training for the Cyber Security & Exa Products is desirable.
• OT Cyber Security relevant Certification

Key Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure during Turnaround and shutdowns
• Good communication skills for coordination with operations and maintenance teams
• Strong focus on safety, reliability, and compliance
• On site experience to trouble shoot complex Purdue Model N/Ws, set up N/W Devices in IT/ OT Environment
• Knowldge of latest OT Cyber Security Standards & Guidelines

Technical Skills

• Hands‑on expertise in configuration and maintenance of Cyber Security & Yokogawa Exa Products.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Fieldbus)
• Familiarity with installation & troubleshooting of hardware (Servers/ Firewalls/ Switches).
• Project Report writing skills

Work Environment

• Primarily site‑based role (Offshore & Onshore) in Yokogawa installations in Qatar
• Requires on‑call support or emergency response availability
