Job summary

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company in Doha, Qatar seeks an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Medical Imaging Department, delivering a consistently high-quality service to patients and visitors.

Responsibilities include producing high-quality images for PACS, supervising exam flow, coaching team members, maintaining equipment, and applying OB/GYN, MSK, vascular, and pediatric ultrasound techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Radiography (Preferred).
• Nasal bone certification and Echo certification (Desired).
• Ability to lift objects and stand for prolonged periods; good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high-quality of all images and documents sent to digital storage or PACS (image quality, markers, annotations, patient data/history).
• Provides clinical orientation and helps develop competencies for new Ultrasound Technologists.
• Provides Ultrasound services with technique appropriate to paediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Coordinates patient exam flow through the department and assists staff with scheduling.
• Maintains sonographic and other equipment in efficient operating order.
• Operates radiologic equipment and performs related procedures.
• Performs additional manager or supervisor assigned duties.
• Provides monitoring, coaching and evaluation of team members' performance, focusing on productivity and quality.
