Qualifications

• Western medical qualification (UK/USA/Canada/Australia or equivalent).
• Specialty in Neurology/Vascular Neurology/Neurocritical Care with Intensive and Critical Care (Trauma).
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in Trauma Surgery.
• Valid medical license/registration and licensing eligibility in Qatar.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, monitors and maintains the clinical services within the department to achieve high patient care with optimal resource use.
• Acts as role model for physician leadership and management and applies medical expertise in patient care.
• Adheres to HMC policies, guidelines, plans and strategic programs.
• Takes direct responsibility for patients under his/her medical attendance in the unit.
• Conducts rounds and supervises treatment of inpatients and exams outpatients.
• Supervises medical staff within the team and prepares regular reports for the department head.
• Participates in committees for service upgrade and work organization.
• Contributes to department development plans and manpower training programs.
• Involves in planning and follow-up of medical education and research activities.
• Engages in health education programs through orientation and scientific presentations.
• Performs relevant interventions in their specialty and participates in on-call duties.
• Assesses and updates drug, medical supply and equipment needs.
• Writes and approves medical reports, provides guidance to other sections as needed.
