Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior SHES Officer for a long-term Onshore project to ensure Health Safety Environment and Security (HSES) standards are maintained across all project phases. The role will involve hands‑on HSE supervision, training, monitoring and reporting while fostering a proactive safety culture among contractors and project teams.

Requirements
  • Must have minimum 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects or operating companies in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001 knowledge.
  • NEBOSH Oil & Gas General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Advantageous: IOSH Technical Level 3 Internal Auditor for QEHS Integrated Management System.
HSES Inspections
  • Provide oversight and guidance for HSE regulatory compliance during construction and installation phases.
  • Conduct site safety awareness campaigns and daily site walk‑abouts.
  • Facilitate safety observations, incident reporting and cascading of safety campaigns across projects.
  • Perform management site inspections to ensure visible leadership support for HSE culture.
HSE Training
  • Conduct HSE Toolbox meetings and orientations for contractors and project teams.
  • Develop and implement safety campaigns; coordinate HSE training per competency matrix.
  • Maintain accurate records of training and HSE compliance activities.
  • Support and guide contractors to establish and maintain a strong safety culture.
HSE Monitoring
  • Ensure minimum 90% site presence to identify unsafe acts/conditions.
  • Audit and monitor construction activities to enforce safe work practices and project safety procedures.
  • Review contractor HSE staffing and experience; report deficiencies to HSE Lead.
  • Analyze safety trends, behavioural observations and incident data to propose improvements.
  • Assist in formal investigations documenting root causes and preventive measures.
HSE Reporting
  • Track and report HSE performance metrics (leading and lagging).
  • Review PTW (Permit to Work) and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate any non‑compliance with project procedures or international standards to HSE Lead or concerned manager.
