Job summary

A global recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to identify and resolve reliability issues in an oil and gas environment. The role involves performing Root Cause Failure Analysis and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the reliability of equipment and processes. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 6 years of relevant experience are required. This fixed-term position is based in Qatar, both onshore and offshore.

Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer

Job Purpose


  • Identify and resolve reliability issues of the assigned plant.

  • Perform RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis), BA (Bad Actor) analysis, and reliability studies for reliability incidents.


Key Job Accountabilities


  1. Comply with reliability programs and procedures, including RCFA and Bad Actor elimination processes, and achieve section KPIs.

  2. Contribute to developing training material for reliability engineering staff to enhance capabilities.

  3. Support preparation of the QG Reliability Engineering section Business Plan for higher management yearly review and approval.

  4. Utilise engineering resources while adhering to reliability processes and programs.

  5. Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing policies and procedures aligned with business strategies and best practices.

  6. Ensure reliability, availability, and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, and facilities for the asset.

  7. Collaborate with external engineering resources to analyse and proactively eliminate reliability problems causing unscheduled downtime or limiting throughput.

  8. Provide input to RAM studies for new projects and PTAI benchmarking studies.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.


Knowledge and/or Experience


  • Minimum 6 years' experience in an oil and gas environment.
