About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying for our road infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.

  • Prepare and analyze cost estimates for road maintenance and improvement projects
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses for tenders and contracts
  • Manage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claims
  • Perform value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance, including cash flow forecasts
  • Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveying
  • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors in the team
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all quantity surveying activities
What do we need from you
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on roads operations and maintenance projects
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of roads operations and maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement processes, and local construction regulations in Qatar
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
