Job summary

Head Medical is recruiting an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for a hospital-based clinical team in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on foot, hand and ankle surgery, delivering high-quality surgical and medical care across inpatient, outpatient and critical care settings.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, contribute to governance, and provide specialist emergency cover for athletes. A recognised medical qualification and extensive senior experience with Qatar licensing

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Minimum 12–15 years of relevant clinical experience, including ~4–7 years in a senior role.
• Eligibility for Qatar medical licensing and professional registration.
• Demonstrable expertise in orthopaedic assessment, surgical management and complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive orthopaedic assessment, diagnosis, treatment and surgical intervention across inpatient, outpatient and intensive care.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans and monitor patient progress with accurate records.
• Deliver outpatient consultations, diagnostics and follow-up care to established clinical standards.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to advance orthopaedic specialties and subspecialties.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.
