Job summary

Confidential in Qatar seeks an experienced Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Specialist to develop and continuously improve health, exposure control, and IH programs. The role covers health risk assessments, surveillance, incident investigations, wellness and pandemic preparedness, and KPI reporting.

The candidate will lead IH surveys, exposure monitoring, program implementation, and compliance with IMS/QHSSE standards, working to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Medicine, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role or level of responsibility.
• Good knowledge of occupational health, industrial hygiene, workplace exposure assessment, health risk assessment, incident investigation, and QHSSE requirements.
• English proficiency required; Arabic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve occupational health programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, IMS, QHSSE requirements, and Organization standards while promoting employee health, wellbeing, and workplace safety.
• Lead industrial hygiene programs to assess and monitor workplace health hazards, ensuring employee protection and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support and coordinate occupational health surveillance programs with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and support occupational health, wellness, disease prevention, and pandemic preparedness programs.
• Support investigations into occupational illnesses, hazardous exposures, and health-related incidents by identifying root causes and providing recommendations.
• Develop and deliver occupational health and industrial hygiene training, provide technical guidance, and promote workplace health risk awareness and compliance across organization facilities.
• Monitor occupational health performance through data analysis, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen occupational health programs, industrial hygiene monitoring, health risk assessment processes, exposure control measures, and alignment with recognized HSE best practices.
