Job summary

Snoonu, Qatar's homegrown Super App, is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and build services using .NET Core 8. You will optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB), participate in system design, and drive scalable, maintainable solutions.

Expect code reviews, testing, deployment participation, and thorough documentation. We value 7+ years in backend development, 5+ years with .NET Core, and strong REST/gRPC skills, plus experience with distributed systems and RabbitMQ.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development, with 5+ years on .NET Core.
• Proficiency in RESTful services and gRPC design for maintainability and scalability.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and DynamoDB databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services using .NET Core 8.
• Optimize database performance with query optimization and data models across PostgreSQL, MongoDB and DynamoDB.
• Participate in system design discussions to drive scalable architectures.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve quality.
• Implement refactoring to enhance existing codebases for readability and efficiency.
• Write unit and integration tests with high coverage and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production and development issues and debug complex problems.
• Document architectural decisions and system processes for knowledge sharing.
• Participate in production deployments and ensure successful releases.
