Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Munitions Inspector to lead the USAF Munitions Surveillance Program (MSP) and act as the focal point for inspector qualification and certification. You will oversee surveillance, data recording, and adherence to DAFMAN 21-201 and related safety standards.

The role requires extensive field work, travel, and the ability to supervise a team of inspectors while ensuring stockpile integrity and compliance with all directives.

Qualifications

• Must have intermediate level knowledge of the USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or US Service equivalent.
• Must have intermediate level knowledge of MIS applicable to PGM activities.
• Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• May be required to operate material handling equipment.
• Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have completed formal USAF Munitions Systems training or US Service equivalent.
• Must meet prerequisites for a Senior Munitions Inspector in accordance with DAFMAN 21-201.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as USAF Munitions Inspector within the past 48 months or training.
• Minimum seven years' experience with USAF Military Munitions or US service equivalent.
• Minimum five years combined supervisory experience in USAF munitions activities and MMHE or US service equivalent.
• Must be capable attending the USAF Munitions Inspector Course.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
• Will be required to wear proper PPE according to procedures.
• Physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Must have normal color perception and depth of vision.

Responsibilities

• Diligently manages the MSP in accordance with DAFMAN 21-201 to include training, certification and evaluations of all assigned Munitions Inspectors to assure optimum reliance of the munitions stockpile.
• Advises the Munitions Superintendent about all aspects of the MSP with recommended actions.
• Monitors surveillance actions and performance of assigned Inspectors to avert negative trends.
• Operates and analyzes TICMS products to ensure total accuracy of the stockpile.
• Inspects munitions and containers in accordance with 11A-1-10 and other applicable directives.
• Enforces all USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during operations.
• Coordinates with Accountability Section and USAF MASO to resolve discrepancies noted during surveillance and inventory.
• Performs warehouse inventories and corrects discrepancies, analyzing potential negative trends.
• Oversees inspection and certification of munitions brass, residue and containers.
