Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Qatar with 12+ years of experience to supervise and coordinate mission-critical mechanical systems for large data center projects. The role covers HVAC, cooling, plumbing, fire protection, and fuel systems to meet project specs and reliability requirements.

You will oversee design reviews, site inspections, and cross-discipline coordination with civil, electrical, and ICT teams, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in data center projects.
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water, CRAH/CRAC cooling and piping.
• UPDA/MMUP Grade A license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction activities for data center projects.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems and cooling plants.
• Monitor CRAH/CRAC, in-row cooling and other data center cooling systems.
• Review mechanical drawings, submittals, and method statements.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, ICT and other contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and QA/QC checks for compliance.
• Witness TAB and pre-commissioning activities.
• Support IST and operational readiness reviews.
• Prepare progress reports and technical updates for client.
