We are seeking an experienced and business-oriented Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Commercial) to provide expert legal support across corporate governance, compliance, investment, and commercial operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, with a proven track record in transactional activities, M&A, and regulatory compliance within financial or investment sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate, commercial, M&A, and investment contracts.
  • Lead corporate governance and compliance programs, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Oversee due diligence, legal documentation, and transactional processes to safeguard the company’s interests.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on corporate structure, commercial operations, and investment activities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on policy and procedural development to strengthen compliance frameworks.
  • Develop and standardize contract templates for corporate and commercial use.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks across all business operations.
  • Support strategic initiatives in coordination with the Chief Legal Officer, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee legal budget and resource optimization to ensure efficient departmental operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting legal integrity and corporate values.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) required.
  • Master’s degree in Business Law, Governance, or Compliance is an advantage.
Experience
  • 8–10 years of experience in a similar or related field.
