Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking an experienced IT Network Technician to install and maintain copper and fiber cabling across data centers, IDF rooms, and workstations. You will terminate CAT6, splice fiber, and verify connectivity while configuring switches, routers, and servers.

The role requires handling Layer 1 issues, monitoring IT infrastructure, and ensuring availability and performance of LAN/WAN/VPN networks.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT, Networking, Electronics, or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience as an IT Network Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data centers and IDF room environments.
• Hands-on experience with copper and fiber cabling (CAT6, termination, testing, splicing).
• Proficiency troubleshooting hardware, software and Layer 1 connectivity issues.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and monitoring tools.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting servers, PCs, printers, IP phones, IPTV devices.
• Familiarity with UPS systems.
• Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
• Ability to maintain inventories, maintenance schedules, and documentation.
• Excellent verbal communication and collaboration in a technical team.
• High proficiency in English; Arabic an advantage.
• CompTIA A+, CCNA or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, label, and document copper and fiber cabling across data centers and work areas.
• Perform CAT6 termination, fiber splicing, testing, and connectivity verification.
• Install and troubleshoot switches, routers, servers, PCs, IP phones, printers, IPTV devices, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve Layer 1 connectivity issues.
• Monitor servers and networks to ensure availability and performance.
• Support LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, and VPN connectivity with monitoring tools.
• Maintain cabling documentation and inventory per standards.
• Assist with server installation and rack-and-stack activities.
• Provide basic support for UPS systems and DC equipment.
• Maintain maintenance schedules and fault logs.
