Job Purpose
  • Provide instrument & control system engineering technical support to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of equipment installed offshore in accordance with established policies and procedures that contribute to the department objectives and are in alignment with the company strategy.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I
  • Serve as a technical resource, o perating in a technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Major challenges of the role are: (1) support in the i ntegrate & plan, co-ordination and implementation of all major offshore equipment electrical maintenance requirements; (2) provide reliability and maintenance support services to ensure first line engineering support is available when required for base business and project expansion activities; (3) contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in area of expertise; (4) progress multiple competing initiatives with ever-changing priorities, that impact different sections within offshore whilst ensuring minimum base business distraction; (5) provide technical support during incident response management; (6) participate and contribute in the Risk Screening and Formal Risk Assessment process for the electrical system and allied works (may include engagement with Major Project expansion reviews).
Key Job Accountabilities - I
  • Provide instrumentation and control system engineering support to offshore operations and maintenance in day-to-day troubleshooting including Level-2 complexity Issues and PM/CM activities as per maintenance strategies.
  • Initiate eMOC's which require studies, support engineering in feasibility study and Implementation of EMOC recommendations to the asset instrument team.
  • Provide inputs to RCM team for improving system maintenance strategies, participate and contribute to RCFA's, risk screening, RBWS, FRA, Bad Actor Analyse, Risk Assessment and Equipment Strategies Reviews/Optimization to ensure the compliance of technical requirement.
  • Develop discipline specific budget and provide inputs to the department budget.
  • Support close collaboration with offshore maintenance, workshop, engineering and project management dept. for the timely close out of outstanding maintenance activities and the process review and development of maintenance procedures.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
  • Support activities undertaken by contactors, consultants and service providers.
  • Execute the maintenance quality verification program.
  • Provide in house technical training to the asset maintenance team as a part of technical competency program.
  • Conduct technical evaluation of material initiated for procurement including routine, non-routine and shutdown activities to ensure availability of right quality and specification of the material. Collaborate closely with obsoletion management team for the effective and efficient resolution of the obsolete item for critical equipment.
  • Participate in establishing a demand plan for the contracts activities and establish all the contracts for Instrument & Control system Maintenance activities including post contract award process support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Instrument and Control System Engineering.
