Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced I&C construction Lead to oversee all Instrumentation, Control, Automation, containment and Cabling installation activities across multiple project sites. This is a field-focused role responsible for supervising site teams, managing subcontractors, ensuring timely execution, and maintaining safety, quality, and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all I&C installation work on-site across multiple projects.
  • Lead site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure work is executed according to project schedules, plans, and design specifications.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, monitor work execution, and report constraints, risks, and delays to Project Managers.
  • Monitor material usage on site, raise material demands, and ensure timely availability of resources.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide accurate field information to the design and engineering teams.
  • Ensure alignment between design documents and on-site conditions to avoid rework and delays.
  • Develop work execution plans, manpower schedules, and task allocation for site teams.
  • Monitor project budgets and assist in controlling costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, conduct safety audits and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure quality of installation work, testing, and commissioning activities, following project and company standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and problem-solving support to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate coordination between on-site teams, design, procurement, and engineering departments to resolve field-related issues.
  • Review and verify site reports, as-built documentation, and handover packages.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and enforce accountability for deliverables.
  • Ensure approvals of inspections of works performed through RFI’s
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 12-14 years of field experience in I&C installation and supervision in industrial, Infrastructure, construction projects.
  • Proven experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, automation systems, cabling, and on-site installation standards.
  • Excellent site reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of HSE, quality control, and field risk management practices.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys, interpret drawings, and communicate requirements effectively to design teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with projects under local Qatari authorities and organizations, including:
    • Ashghal (Public Works Authority) – Drainage & Water Projects
    • Qatar Foundation – Utilities & Construction Projects
    • Kahramaa – Electrical & Water Infrastructure Projects
    • Experience with other local authorities such as MME (Ministry of Municipality & Environment), Qatar Rail, or Lusail Development is an advantage.
  • Qatar Resident visa and driving license is preferred.
