Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an HSE Manager for their Road Operation & Maintenance project in Qatar. The role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, leading safety inspections, and training multicultural teams. Ideal candidates will have over 15 years of experience in HSE, including 5 years in a management role, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. The position includes family visas and a standard work schedule of 48 hours weekly, with the potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years total HSE experience, including 5+ years as HSE Manager in road O&M or oil/gas construction projects.
• International exposure outside the MENA region in desert/remote projects preferred.
• MMUP/UPDA certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and audit HSE management systems.
• Ensure adherence to Qatar’s Ministry of Labor regulations.
• Lead safety inspections for highway maintenance and drainage teams.
• Conduct site-specific risk assessments and develop emergency response plans.
• Enforce mandatory PPE usage and conduct safety training.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science
