University of Doha for Science and Technology in Doha seeks an experienced Accountant to manage the general ledger, ERP data, and financial reporting. The role requires coordinating month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial statements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with at least four years of relevant experience and fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field required.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting or related fields.
• Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred

Responsabilidades

• Help prepare, analyze and summarize general ledger data on accrual basis using ERP to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Assist in preparing and entering data for financial reports, audits, and year-end budgets in line with UDST procedures.
• Meet UDST reporting deadlines to support timely decision-making.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve items.
• Initiate fund transfer requests and maintain journal entries with supporting docs.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank, accounts payable, and prepayment accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries for tuition POS charges, prepayments, prepaid expenses, amortization, and accruals.
• Monitor POS prepayments in PeopleSoft and coordinate with teams for timely recording.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations of all online payments.
• Update market rates in PeopleSoft and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with IT and banking partners on banking services and portal enhancements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
